A Little About Me
Hi, I'm Claire, founder of Pups & Hounds Weddings.
I am a massive dog lover, and I also love a wedding! I have had experience with dogs all of my life, and am the proud owner of a Rhodesian Ridgeback called Bruno.
I got married in Bartley Lodge Hotel in The New Forest in 2019 to my husband Simon, and am now a mother of two wonderful little girls of 2 and 4 years old.
My love and passion for animals started when I was very young, which resulted in me owning a number of different pets in my family home, turning it into a small petting zoo! My two favourite hobbies were horse riding, and walking my neighbours dogs. In my early teens I was walking 6 dogs every day after school with my best friend, and enjoying every minute! Then at the weekends we would volunteer at the Blue Cross animal rescue centre, cleaning kennels and walking more dogs. I always dreamed of a career with animals, but for a number of reasons I didn't follow my dream.

How I Came To The Decision To do Something I Love...
After working for a handful of different companies, and ten successful years for a large financial organisation, I decided that it was time to finally do something I love. So here I am, finally following my dream, loving every minute with the same love and passion as I did when I was a teenager.
I understand that dogs are family and so many couples want their dog with them on their special day. It can be very difficult to work out the logistics of who will care for them on your wedding day, as all your trusted family and friends will be enjoying the celebrations with you. So I thought why not offer a dedicated dog chaperone service.
